Entrepreneurs applying for the Start-Up Visa Program must meet the following criteria:
- Present a scalable and innovative business proposal that has the potential to create jobs and contribute to Canada’s economic growth
- Secure the backing of a designated business organization, which may be a venture capital fund, an angel investor group, or a business incubator
- Meet language proficiency requirements in English or French at a minimum CLB/IELTS 5 level
- Pass medical and security checks to ensure admissibility to Canada
