To qualify for the Italy Residence by Investment Program, applicants must:

1. Make the required investment within three months of entering Italy
2. Choose one of the following investment options:
   • Invest at least 2 million euros in Italian government bonds
   • Invest a minimum of 500,000 euros in shares of an Italian company (or 250,000 euros in an innovative start-up)
   • Donate at least 1 million euros to public interest projects in Italy
3. Maintain the investment and comply with all program requirements
4. If applying under the Elective Residence Program, provide proof of stable income from abroad for the duration of the visa
5. Hold residency for ten years before applying for Italian citizenship
