The Italy Residence by Investment Program provides a direct route to Italian residency with the opportunity to apply for citizenship after ten years.








To qualify for the Italy Residence by Investment Program, applicants must:
- Make the required investment within three months of entering Italy
- Choose one of the following investment options:
- Invest at least 2 million euros in Italian government bonds
- Invest a minimum of 500,000 euros in shares of an Italian company (or 250,000 euros in an innovative start-up)
- Donate at least 1 million euros to public interest projects in Italy
- Maintain the investment and comply with all program requirements
- If applying under the Elective Residence Program, provide proof of stable income from abroad for the duration of the visa
- Hold residency for ten years before applying for Italian citizenship
