Malta Citizenship by Naturalization for Exceptional Services

The application process undergoes a rigorous four-tier due diligence review to ensure compliance and integrity. To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years for all applicants.
  • Financial contribution of at least €600,000 for a 36-month residency period or €750,000 for a 12-month residency period.
  • Real estate investment of at least €700,000 in a property that must be held for five years, or alternatively, a residential lease with a minimum annual rent of €16,000, also maintained for five years (subletting is not permitted). A lease agreement or property purchase must be in place for at least 36 months (or 18 months by exception) during the residence period.
  • Mandatory donation of at least €10,000 to an approved NGO in the fields of sports, culture, science, philanthropy, animal welfare, or the arts, as recognized by the Community Malta Agency.
  • Legal residence in Malta for at least 36 months (or 12 months by exception), including a valid residence card and a residential lease valued at a minimum of €16,000 per year for the required period.
