Approved Investment Routes

Panama’s Qualified Investor Permanent Residency Program (VIP) grants immediate PR and includes multiple qualifying routes:

1. Real Estate Investment – Minimum US $300,000. Both direct purchases and promise-to-purchase agreements are accepted; pre-construction investments must carry a developer bank guarantee.
   
2. Stock Market Securities – Minimum US $500,000 invested via a licensed Panama stock broker.
   
3. Fixed-Term Bank Deposit – Minimum US $750,000 in a local bank for at least five years.

Each track must be held for a minimum of five years to maintain PR. Co-ownership is permitted across routes, reducing individual capital requirement.

Strategically, real estate offers asset diversification and potential rental income; securities provide liquidity but carry market risk; bank deposits guarantee preservation with steady (though limited) returns.
